Our team combines professional training with a genuine love for early childhood education, creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment where your little ones can learn, grow, and thrive every day.
Mariangela
Owner
Mariangela is a loving mother of three children. Because of her love for children, education & growing up around children in her mom's home daycare, it has led her to choose a career in child care. Mariangela grew up in Mountain Top. After graduating from King's College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a minor in Early Childhood & certification in both, she, along with her mom decided to venture out into the business world. It is her passion to own and direct a school where children can be in a "home away from home" and learn all the fundamentals of a quality education while still having fun, making friends and growing up to be lifelong learners!
Jackie
Center Director
Miss Jackie has over 15 years in child care and over 6 years as a Director. She has her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood. Jackie loves spending time with family and is 1 of 5 sisters. She also likes reading, listening to music and meeting friends! Jackie moved to Mountain Top with her husband and children two years ago.

Miss Carla started her childcare career by running a successful in-home daycare for over 23 years. She loved and educated all her children like they were her own. Carla has two grown children, one of which has partnered with her to open Little Big Steps & four grandchildren, Luigi, Giulianna, Mila & Gabriella. Her love and dedication to the families and staff at Little Big Steps make her a huge asset to the facility. She goes above and beyond for everyone who walks through the door. Miss Carla definitely loves what she does and it shows through the smiles of each and every child.

Infant Team
Miss Enza is our infant team expert. She is a loving mother to four children and grandmother to nine grandchildren. With infinite patience and over 25 years of experience, she provides exceptional care for our youngest learners. We call her the "baby whisperer."

Infant Team
Miss Jill brings a unique energy to our Infant Team at Little Big Steps! With an incredible 32 years of experience as a fitness trainer, she understands the importance of movement and growth. Jill has a profound adoration for children, and her vibrant, nurturing spirit helps our littlest learners feel safe and supported. We are so happy to have her wealth of experience and her loving heart as part of our school family.

Miss Evelyn has a love for children of all ages. She is a member of our Mountain Top community and a loving mother of a beautiful daughter. Evelyn loves art, cooking & meeting people from different cultures. Her nurturing personality and passion for teaching make her a wonderful asset to the Infant team. Miss Claudia has been a wonderful addition to our Young Toddler Team. She has a degree in Educational Sciences with over 12 years experience working with children. Claudia loves to study new things, taking care of plants & is an avid animal lover. Teaching children makes her happy! Miss Claudia's warm and welcoming personality make her a wonderful fit for Little Big Steps!

Belem
Miss Belem is a caring and dedicated teacher who has a passion for working with childrens. She was born and raised in Mexico, where she studied and earned her degree in Engineering. Three years ago, she moved to USA with her husband after he was promoted within the company where he works in Berwick, PA. Belem is a proud mother of two childrens. She has gained valuable experience caring and supporting young learners. She loves spending time with her family, doing outdoor activities, and practicing meditation and yoga. She loves listening to music and traveling the world.
Paola
We are so excited to have Miss Paola as part of our team! Paola is a bi-lingual child care provider with experience supporting children from infancy through school-age. She has completed Early Childhood Programs and has hands-on experience working with kids. Miss Paola holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and alongside her work with children, she runs a creative business specializing in balloons and custom backdrops for all types of events! She definitely brings her creative spirit into the classroom and the children love her!

Miss Jennifer is a loving mother of two children. She was born and raised in New Jersey and then moved to PA. Jen loves spending time outdoors camping with loved ones. She has been teaching for 25 years now. It has always been her passion. She loves teaching young children and seeing the world light up through their eyes as they learn and explore new things!

Miss Katie has many years of child care experience. She is a loving mother of two beautiful children! In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and going to the park with her children. Katie is a wonderful addition to our Older Toddler team!
Emily
Older Toddler Team
Miss Emily has been working with children for over 10 years and comes with much experience! She is a loving mother of two active boys and lives in the Mountain Top area. She loves singing, dancing & exercising whenever she can! We are so happy to have Emily as part of our LBS team!
Michele
Miss Michele is a wonderful part to our Young Toddler team. She was born and raised in the Mountain Top area. Michele is a graphic designer by trade, but gave it all up to be a stay at home mom. She has a son who is a senior at Crestwood and a daughter who is in her second year of college. Michele decided to change her career to childcare and became a great asset to Little Big Steps! Her creative side, humor & dedication make her a perfect fit for our team!

Miss Erika has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and has eight years of teaching experience! When she is not in the classroom, you can find her cooking in her kitchen or coloring with her daughters Luna and Lianni. Miss Erika also speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys reading books and doing arts & crafts!

Miss Jennifer is such a wonderful addition to our Young Preschoolers! She is a wonderful mother to her son and loves her two cats, Baloo & Alex, as well. Jennifer has many years experience in child care. She loves to read and is big into crafts as well, which make her Preschool classroom fun and inviting! We are so glad to have Miss Jennifer as part of our Young Preschool team!

Miss Rachel has nine years experience working in child care. She has a large family which drives her passion for children and educating them. Miss Rachel is from the Hazleton area and is a twin! She is also one of six siblings. Rachel is such a wonderful part of our LBS Family. She brings such a warm atmosphere to her classroom and the children absolutely adore her!
Karen
Pre-K Team
Miss Karen is part of our Pre-K & School-Age team! Her FUN and warming personality bring so much joy to the kiddos! Karen has been a resident of Mountain Top since 1990. She started her career in the dental industry at the age of 24 and remained in it for almost 25 years. Miss Karen loves spending time with her husband and daughter, especially during the Spring and Summer time. They love exploring the outdoors. Karen is thankful for a new start working with children! She truly enjoys helping to prepare them for Kindergarten. They put a smile on her face every day! We are so happy to have Miss Karen as part of our LBS family!

Miss Emily is a graduate from Crestwood High School! She is currently studying to ger her degree in Early Childhood! She has been working in child care for the past 5 years and comes with much experience. Besides yoga & meditation, her love for working with little learners are some of her favorite things!
Korynne
Floater
Miss Korynne is a fun-loving student at Wilkes University! She is entering her senior year and studying Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a minor in Reading. She is a huge sports fan and loves Harry Potter books! Korynne has a strong passion for working with young learners and she absolutely loves it!
Summer

Summer brings so much love and care to all the children at Little Big Steps. No matter which room she is placed in, she works hard to make sure all the children's needs are met. Miss Summer has been with Little Big Steps for 3 years now!

Miss Ella has been a wonderful addition to Little Big Steps. She works at both facilities when needed. Ella loves working with children and helping create a fun and positive environment where they feel comfortable, supported & encouraged to learn and grow.

Miss Carly came to Little Big Steps with over four years in childcare. She has such a warming personality and the children absolutely adore her! In her free time, she likes hanging with family and friends and listening to music.

Miss Becka has such a fun, loving spirit! She brightens all the kiddos faces in any classroom she is placed in! Becka is a Hazleton native and is 1 of 5 sisters.

With her fun and outgoing spirit, Miss Monica is a wonderful asset in any classroom she is placed in! She is a wonderful mother of two grown boys and a grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter. Monica has years of experience working in a school district as well as working in child care.

Big Al
Bus Driver
Al, or "Big Al," as the kids call him drives for us during our Summer Program months as well as throughout the school year for educational field trips! Not only does he make the trips fun and safe for the kiddos, but he is always willking to give a helping hand when needed!
